The new base shape is as good as ready, from here on it’s detailing and tweaking. For now coated in a metallic paint that I wanted to test. Don’t worry it will get Starfleet colors in the end of course. Besides: this is too much Italian sports car. (But fun to do.)
There's nothig wrong with the Italian sportscar look - It's pretty cool and sleek!
ReplyDeleteExcellent work.
I like the new bow. It now fits more with how I originally imagined the Aventine before I saw your 2010 Ships Of The Line calendar image.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I look forward to seeing more!

Nice!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to see more detailed version. Though impulse engines look a bit too big compared to rest of the ship.
Thanks guys!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently preparing the layout of the armor pattern.
The impulse engines are placeholders for more refined versions. (These will be added later.)
Beautiful ship Mark! I also started a project based on the vesta class, which going to be a variant. I never made model before that contains so "deceptive", complicated shapes and junctions, so I'd gladly take any advice on the modelling part.
