A close up render of the (HUGE) panorama windows on the side. I added a low quality interior that I borrowed from an older ship. (The “dirt”" on the close up is due to low quality shadow settings to speed up render time.)
I think this window is a bit to big. I looked at the same window on the old model and it seemed to take up less space on the surface of the hull. The new shape of the hull makes it look like you have increased the usable volume of the ship without messing with the overall dimensions of the class which is a good thing for a workhorse ship like you want the Aventine to be, however the size of the window and the room and persons inside seem to imply a ship smaller that the Vesta Class MK1.
Looks good, Mark. The cover with the Aventine on it can now be seen here: http://trekmovie.com/2010/05/07/star-trek-books-update-new-2010-covers-new-2011-books-announced/
She's coming along nicely. I love the big windows - Reminds me of the aboretum windows on the 1701/1701-A.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours, too!
