Click on the "Actions" tab and then "download" photo. I find it extremely annoying that Blogspot decides what format would be best for these pictures.... :P
This is just low polly as you may already noticed, just 1277 square polys. And i have to keep that low because i have to get it inside botf game (old game lol). With the picture you just posted i can get more detail so i can see where i need to. Again thank you :)
Up to 1000 square or 2000 triangle polys more or less, so actually i have to reduce it a bit lol, because it would be converted to ogre format (an open source 3d software for games among other things). So long story short story, a new 3D engine it´s under development for these old game, and so far but not less, you can now replace those old models from the game with newer ones as ogre (from .max to .3ds to finally ogre). So far the engine doesn´t support massive amounts of ships altogether,(because of fps restriction and all that kind of things only programmers know) so taking into account that could more than 100 ships in a battle (each side), we have to keep the poly count low, and all this just to tell you that the poly count once converted would be twice, because the conversion makes square polys into triangles. So 1277square polys x 2 = 2554 triangle polys
thank you very much valkyrie013, i´ve clicked on your name and went directly to your website, i must say i was astonishing by your 3D art works, seems i´m walking the path you already did for vesta now, lol. And i even made a luna (titan) class too, in low poly, for the game i told before. So, with the ability to make ships a little bit more complex i will look into your pictures to have some insights too :) Here´s a link if you want to watch it: http://img256.imageshack.us/slideshow/webplayer.php?id=36502135.jpg
Thank you, thank you and thank you very much. Really appreciate what you´ve done. And i´ll show you the why i´m so annoying LOL :

PD: hope you like it.
cool! :) Looks pretty accurate even with so little lines! What is the polycount you are aiming for?

And i didn´t even mention about texture yet LOL
Well I love the ship but for the love of Christ my computer wont let me view anything from Picasa.
ReplyDeleteThis looks familiar.... :D
ReplyDeletelooking great Alejandro! .... 1000 pollys is a rounding error for Mark and Mine's ship!! O_O
